In the spirit of sharing.

So since one of the goals of blogs is to share information I thought I would pass this along for Adult Services staff.  I had an author talk scheduled for Orinda last night that I had to cancel when the author backed out at the last minute that morning.  Now this in and of itself isn’t anything new, everyone has experienced it at one time or another.  What makes this different is it seems to be a part of a pattern.  Apparently the author did the same thing when he was supposed to speak at the Lafayette Library.  The authors name is J. Gary Gwilliam, so anyone considering booking him for a talk, might want to keep this mind.

I’ve never done this before.

It’s not an original statement, but it is accurate.  I’ve never blogged before, nor have I spent much time looking at others blogs.  It’s not because I’m hostile to the idea of blogs or a technophobe.  It’s just that I rarely use my computer for the purpose of communicating with others.   While I don’t think I’ll ever blog in my personal life, I do want to learn how to do this stuff so I can try and utilize if for work as well as assist others in setting up accounts.

There it is.  It might not be inspiring, but it is true.
